Services for Youth
- Assistance applying for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) through the Social Security Administration for your special needs child (who will be turning 18) who has a medical or behavioral condition that limits their ability to make a living. (This does not mean the child cannot work.)
- Assistance applying for services through the CT Department of Developmental Services (DDS) or other State agencies so your child can receive home-based, job coaching and other services to keep them independent.
- Assistance applying for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for a minor child who has special needs. (Parental income is taken into consideration to determine eligibility if the child is under 18.)
- Proving resources and making referrals for other needed services.
